Harmony Gems > Contemplation
HU, sung like the boy's name, is my favourite word for heart-connecting with the light and sound of God. Sitting in a quiet space and singing it for about 20 minutes daily gives me balance, insight, inspiration, and understanding of what is going on in my life, and how I can become a more open vehicle for the light and sound. You can find out more about the HU at www.eckankar.org.
Our favourite contemplation spot is Meditation Rocks, a ten minute walk up Compassion Trail to Contemplation Ridge. Harmony connects easily with those who sing HU and other charged words here where its energy flows strongly. Earth healing singing was held here as a gift to Harmony on its official opening.
The many clearings. Koha Gardens, Orchard Wood, Sentinel, and Cloud View, and the higher parts of Contemplation Ridge, offer additional inspirational views to contemplate on. Often birds and insects will come to be a part of your "connection with the heart, the land, and God".
To contemplate is to actively Soul travel, to direct one's body, mind, and spirit to what one wants to do.
Harmony's 5km of trails have inspirational names to inspire walking contemplation.
Rocks and seats around Connection, on Compassion Trail, at Plantain Ridge (NW end of Bosquet Trail), and in the chairs in the warm cabins and verandahs are futher spots to contemplate.
Contemplations can be aloud when other people are not around.
We always respect those who choose to sit quietly with their eyes closed.
Love, light and sound.
May the Blessings Be.
